Does anyone know of a reasonably affordable single device that will allow the use of a 240v/50hz turntable in the US? The motor is less than 100watts, so it doesn't need anything heavy duty, but I'm trying to find a single device that converts both voltage and frequency - this is for a budget setup belonging to a relative, and no audiophile credentials are required, just something decently made and ideally under $150 - all the products I can find are aimed at using your hairdryer etc - links to something suitable would be massively appreciated - MH

Which turntable?
A question I have only just got a proper answer to - it is actually a Vestax DD turntable that I rebuilt myself some years ago and had somehow completely forgotten about  o_O  - so it will have a DC motor and should be fine using 60hz at the correct voltage - I should have made certain of my facts before posting... happy to be corrected if I have missed anything, but I think I'm safe in recommending a simple step up transformer - MH
