I've just unearthed an interesting news bite on the net. Warner are toreturn to vinyl production again. It looks like they will be re-producing their back catalogue as well as releasing current albums on the old blackstuff. Releases ranging from standard weight pressings to audiophile versions will be made available.Sales will be via the internet only by the looks of things.

Oh, and they will be doing quite a few DVD-A releases also...

Bummer, used to get Warner Bros stuff on staff sales. Since the Sony-BMG merger, we lost that reciprical deal. Can now get stuff on BMG, but little of their artists interest me.

That said, I noticed AC/DC have just released most of their back catalogue on 180g vinyl and I can get them on staff sales. Was tempted by the big box set of the lot, but it was still a £100 even at staff sales price.

New SP! woot! Having said that, I tend to buy new releases on CD and not LP though. JJ
Yeah, I'm not a 'new releases' man myself. Unless of course it's an analogue recording with no pro-tools or 'puters in the mix (such as The White Stripes releases).

The<1980'sback catalogue stuff should be...

This is very good news as DVD-A in stereo is the best digital audio format I have ever heard.
