Having heard Murray's amps the "Heath Robinson" looks wouldn't bother me one little bit - they sound better than anything else i've heard.

Now dismantled, because it took up a large proportion of my lounge.

Looks aren't everything! You can always turn the lights out!

What did it sound like and did it have a remote?

Sound was ok, i did so much fiddling, that sometimes it was wonderful, sometimes it was crap. I did learn a lot about cause and effect though

Did'nt need a remote, you kind of had to walk amongst it!

But seriously though Pete, I bet at its best, that suonds awesome...

Nice work, if a little messier than mine. Having said that, you may have noticed on my KEL84 thread, I hav'nt posted any pics of the inside of mine. The wiring is yet to be tidied up.....

Hiya, Yeah, it is Pete, you're Rikki, is that right?

Wouldn't worry too much about messy wiring - perhaps suprisingly, it can often be an advantage because it reduces hum coupling - that's my excuse anyway!

Sounds like you're loving the KEL84 - I heard it at the show and it was one of the few things that impressed me, perhaps not as refined as the mega-$ stuff, but musically it was right on the nail for me.

I bet you'll never be able to buy an amp in a shop again...

Cheers,

Pete
