Bah, disappointed. Only owned two of them.

There's some right old tat in there and quite a few major omissions, IMO.

I've hadthe Mini Cooper, Golf GTi, Mazda MX5, Renault 5Turbo, 205 GTi and Land Rover off that list (ok it was a '90' and not the Defender but it looks the same!)

So that's 6. Anyone had more?:nerd:

Well I've had a 5 turbo but thats a picture of the Turbo 2 there showing which was a mid engined RWD homolagation beastie so not sure which they mean.

Had a 205 Gti, 3 Sierra cossie's, and a Mk1 Gti so 3 off that list, 4 if they mean the R5 turbo and not the turbo 2.

There is a Lambo, but its the wrong one, should be the Miaura and its the countach!!

Lists like this always cause arguments, depends totally on who picks the list, its not a bad one though, better than some of the others I've seen!!

No Jensen Interceptor!

No VW Beetle!

As for the Sierra Cosworth, I always thought the Escort was the better Cossie.

Land Rovers are not cars. They are more closely related to tractors.

The Citroen BX Gti ought to be in there instead of the SM.

Ah but the Sierra has originality on its side, its an icon, and 10 times more succesful in the field of motorsport it was designed for than the Escort could dream of, not many people actually know that the Escort is 90% sierra anyway, floor pan/engine the lot, its something silly like the Escort cosworth only shares about 5 parts with the production model Escort

It was because of the RS500 we have the R32 Skyline GT-R, which is considered to be one of the best all round road cars ever made.

Agreed on the beetle, a TRUE icon, cant believe its not there, same level as the Mini etc....

Thought that dodgy looking alfa would of been on as well, what was it called? zagato was it?

You obviously haven't been in a Discovery 3.. Shed loads of gadgets to go wrong, leather seats with heated bits, sat nav and a stereo you can actually hear!

Not a proper Landy, mind. They're supposed to let in a bit of rain and give appalling on-road ride quality - but feel much smoother on the ruffstuff.

I had a Citroen BX GTi 16v in the early 90's, bloody fast car.

Don't confuse cool with good. The SM is enormously complicated, unreliable and not desperately practical but it is cool. If I see somebody in a Audi TT, I throw up a little in my mouth. A good SM is about the same price and hell you look a hell of a lot cooler- especially if you're a girl.

Cool cars are largely exempt from rational decision making- and of course it makeseverybody's choices different
