Don't think you will be disappointed.  I have the cheaper 8 way all plastic housing versions of those running my system and they are well made and get the job done....

You might find that the block support could make a bigger difference than the block itself.

I'll rephrase it, just for you. As long as the power is connected it doesn't matter how or with what. Performance will be the same.
