Charity Record cleaning stall. Volunteers NEEDED!!

@HiFiWigwam Peter could you please add the record cleaning stall to the show Web page, under info for showgoers. Hopefully this will get people to bring records for cleaning with them, rather than just exhibitors & a few new records purchased on the day.

Are we doing this in a bedroom or somewhere else.?  Any ideas yet as we can’t leave all the gear unattended unless we can lock it up in a bedroom.

Just wondering if we have got any  further on locating the service.

If a bedroom is needed for this then I see no reason why one of the sleeping only bedrooms can't be used. I have room 210 for sleeping and happy for that to be used if necessary. However if the 2 recesses between the gents and restaurant still exist I reckon they would be the best place to work from (easy to find for punters). I will look at sorting a rota on the Saturday and if we're a bit short of volunteers then we can shorten the service to say 11 - 4 instead of 10 - 5, and then put up a couple of notices.

I will be there and with recognized training etc I will risk other people’s vinyl if they will!

Yep, also have a couple of other victims who don't know they're helping.... Yet!

Any thoughts on how many records will be cleaned at a time and for how long? @Spider would need to provide the necessary spacers, and perhaps an extra bar to have the next load ready to go on if it gets busy.

Last time I was involved in the Charity was as the nomadic ticket seller for crimsondonkey (Wayne, still a good mate) so glad to help again.

We have 4 machines, with single record loading and a 6 minute process and allowing load/unload time I'd say 30 records an hour. Time available = 7 hours and allowing cooling slots for when machines reach 40 degrees then we could accommodate say 160 - 180 records on the Sunday.
