What the shaker or the mouse?I'm not saying my speakers are bright but both cats jumped in the air when they heard it.
Did she jump out of the oven to be with you? Just checking as we are not in 1970.I got hotel California from a bird I was dating at Christmas, she broke up with me new year's Day
It's just too painful a listen

We're deaf Old Gits, half of whom have Tinnitus and who have too much time on our hands?Am I missing something?
I don't see any oddness there. I'm confident that if the shaker is there on the recording, I would be able to hear it on my system. However, given the source material under discussion, I wouldn't bother to listen to it to make sure.I'm finding this thread a bit odd. So many people saying that they couldn't care less if the shaker is audible or not on their system. Is this supposed to be an audiophile forum? Isn't the point of an audiophile sound system to let you hear what's on a recording?
Am I missing something?
But isn’t that a tad ostrich like though? A simple test whereby the lack of that instrumental sound, when we know it is present on the source material, could be highlighting a deficiency in your system that you weren’t previously aware of.I don't see any oddness there. If it's a tad anything, it is a tad can't be arsed. Your premise seems to me to be a tad audio nervosa - from listening to material that I actually want to listen to I'm happy that my system is resolving very well thanks and I don't need to play HC to prove it.But isn’t that a tad ostrich like though?
