Can't find last month's (that's this month for non-Blighters:?) issue of HFC, which has the piccies of someNADs on the front. Seems sold out : are NAD that popular?

Solid - IIRCthe Rega, the Evo and the CAAzur 640 were given Best Buy, with the Rega getting the nod overall on sound quality.

Evo was given credit for build quality and the Azur for price

Others in the test were Marantz, Denon and Shangling.

Cheers BB

Well, well, well. So all the British companies got a best buy. I guess that makes life easier for the CD reviewer.

"Is it British?"

"Yes"

"OK. Let's make it a best buy"

:Not Sure:

Soif something is British then that makes it great? Who cares if it is dangerous, for example?

What if some dodgy bit of Britishelectrical kitis being used in a child's nursery and has a loose wire?

I suppose as long as it is British then that makes it all OK? :Upset:

Those were the 12Ls. They are in a totally different league to the 11L, because they quacked less.

OK, since I'm here. Can someone tell me the percentages the Apollo, EVO and CA 640C(what the hell is it doing here?) scored for sound?

How daft are those scores!

Rega 87% for sound?

As if. The Rega is a definite 86%. No way is it a 87%. Never.

DoHRC still do the blind panel testing or isnow just single reviewertesting?

I promise to sledge ya Poms less when I next meet up with fellow Roos at the pub crawl.:nerd:

Well, I'd just like the EVO and the Apollo reviews, but... ... ... if its not too much trouble and you're having one your insomniac nites, HEY, why not scan the entire Supertest pages and send them to me? You can leave out the Shanning becoz I don't do tubes.
tongue.png

Oh, and make the pages out in crisp jpg format and have each page not more than 1024 x 1024, so that it reads easily on my PC monitor. And try to keep the size below 120kb each.

Give me an inch and i'll take more inches.:green:

I'd guess they still do the gag test. Given the results, I don't need my crystal ball to know that the blind panel had reps fromCambridge Audio, Rega and Creek as guest judges!
