Mext Wam taxi is 2/3 July.

Route is roughly Chichester to Stroud, thence to Wallassey (The Wirral) via M6, possibly calling in to a Wammer in Liverpool to look at some records.
I will have the RFC Cheviots on board that Frank has been refurbising for me (hurrah!).
I may stay with old mate in Manchester or, more likely, Daughter's in W. Yorkshire.

On the Monday I meet up with Chris Reynard at our normal spot (Colton) in Leeds to collect 4 boxes for Jag.
I have arranged a viewing in Chesterfield for something for me, and then I hope to meet up with Disarmament in Brackley if that can be arranged.
I come back via M1 and the Towcester bypass (A45), then M40, A34.

If anyone has any business i can help with within reasonable distance of that route I'll be happy to help..

One amendment - Amormusic has kindly agreed to make the Stroud pick up for me, as the seller's timing was unfortunately awkward for me. Peter is in Bristol, so that works well. We can meet at Snoopdog's bake off later in the month.

Making final preparations for the trip up tomorrow..
After a bit of toing and froing garn63 and catcando have agreed that the former's Aleph power amp is travelling back with me to Brackley where it will be collected. (Oops, must clear that with Disarmament..)
Mark (garn63) has agreed a meeting place so that I am not dragged too far out of my route - Broughton Shopping centre near Chester. Due there at 11 00 a.m., and in order to ensure that eta I shall be planning on leaving at 5 00 a.m.

Thence to Wallassey and Cooky's gaff to see and pickup the Cheviots. Also Ive sold Frank a pair of Tannoy Berkeleys 'over the phone' as it were, so they are in the car ready to go up. They are working but have issues so its a price to match their condition. Alongside them are two boxes containing Nakamichis for the Chris Reynard treatment (ex head of Tandberg service dept.). Hope to make daughter's place in W. Yorkshire for 3 30 pm. Staying over.

I have an item to pick up from Mike P on Monday and we are donating a clapped out Marantz CD player as a donor CDP as Mike specialises in disc players.
Chris Reynard is prior to that (Leeds) and then I'm viewing a pair of items in Chesterfield before descending on Disarmament in Brackley, where we plan to try the newly restored Cheviots.
Martin and I are all agog to see what job Cooky has made of them.
We know this much - they are working !!

Had quite a long session at Disarmament's place in Brackley (Monday) trying out the newly restored Cheviots. We had 3 different amps on them. This meant it was a late return last night, compounded by the fact that I had to reroute to the A3 due to a notice saying that the M27East junction on the M3 was closed, and that the A3 south itself was closed at Milford. Thus I had to find a way back and chose the A235 Petworth road. At least there was no traffic on the road by this time.
(By the way, avoid the M1, A43 junction - the roadworks are murder. (They had better finish by next weekend - its the British Grand Prix at Silverstone!

Met some lovely people on this one and I even got beans on toast from a lovely couple in Chesterfield.

Successful trip, car did well, to the driver I award just 7/10.
