What will sound like my Spendor S3/5Rs with more bass presence?

I had Sterling LS3/6 Reference's. Whilst bass was there, dynamics were slightly lacking and bass was not precise enough for me with the amplification available. They did the midrange thing and had good treble. The lack of speed was most obvious with metal but they did some Jazz fine. Not an allrounder but then I think many BBC designs aren't. They are usually very application specific. More so than most other designs.

Getting the correct model for the right room size and amplification is vital.

I love the Graham Audio LS5/9s! Astonishing speakers, they're everything I hoped for and a lot more...

Beautifully accurate and acoustic sounding - they're a huge upgrade on the little Spendors in reproducing violins, voice and saxophones, which is what I was worried about losing - and also have enough bass extension to sound great with dub, as well as being perfect for detailed study of double bass players... Significantly better than the Harbeth M30s to my ears, which were my 2nd choice - I'm very happy!
