Finally collected my Mowgan Mabon speakers from @m7rso

What a fantastic seller. Can't speak highly enough of the experience. A true gentleman and good old-fashioned Liverpudlian hospitality.

Very knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to have a demo in his listening room.

I've already made it clear I think there's been a daylight robbery with these speakers. I'm completely blown away with them...

Top shelf: Project RS cdt and Auralic Aries
2nd shelf: Soekris 2541 dac
3rd shelf: Musical Paradise 301 amp and LPS for Soekris
Bottom shelf: LPS for Project cdt and LPS for Aries

I am still experimenting with the position of the speakers, hence no spikes or isolation.

I’ve separated my hi-fi from my home cinema set-up by introducing headphones and a headphone amp. I’ve got the headphones burning in as they are a little splashy straight out of the box.

Yes, the level of responsibility you hold for all this is noted (by both me and my wife!).

If you have any concern at all for the wellbeing of my marriage, just don't bloody bring round your M-Scaler or those Sean Jacobs Power Supplies once it arrives!!

And here it is. Dave has arrived and has been duly inserted into my scaled-down, but exquisite-sounding, little system.

When borrowing the Dave from the very kind Fourlegs, he also very kindly also lent me his Innuos Zenith Mk3. I did a little bit of back to back, admittedly not a lot, but I did find the difference to be relatively small on the few tracks I played. This suggests to me that the SingXer SU-2 is actually doing a very good job of cleaning up the noisy laptop data.

But yes, I've not ruled out a streamer as a future upgrade, but I would consider it a tweak, rather than a significant upgrade.

New arm to me, first SME from the 300 series

Decided to build a little second system for the bedroom. Pair of self built Kef CS1a, great old NAD 302 integrated amp (bought off a fellow Wammer) and a small bluetooth streamer. Works really well for the space and room.

What are they ?

Hiya,

Atma-sphere MA-1 OTL monos. The tubes are 6A7G triodes. Think of them as massively parallel 300B amps with 140w output and no output transformer to muddy the sound.

With the Tannoys and Innuos Zenith 2, this should be me done. Simplified about as much as possible now. I'll keep my fiddling for the loft system.
