I thought the same thing. Looks like a Boenicke or something.Wow, they make that speaker look tiny.

Yes it’s Audio Research. The Auralic Altair G1 is an all in one but I prefer to use the Innuos Zen Mini with an external DAC either the Auralic, Benchmark or Luxman.I like things a bit simpler...dac/streamer in one box...is that an AR pre?.
My first exposure to equipment like LP12/AR was at a party about 1974...DSOTM on the deck in QUADROPHONIC sound...both made a big impression on me especially these BIG AR pre/power with rack handles!.Yes it’s Audio Research. I know what you mean. Alison helped me carry my PM11 onto the bottom shelf but I usually have the amp on a higher shelf. But alas the P3ESR was needed back in the studio and the Neat Iota Alphas are back in the lounge.
So here is my second system sitting in the corner where I have a desk. The IsoAcoustics stands are much better than I had expected. They replaced Auralex foam supports and the bass is really tightened up. And you may have noticed that I changed the Quadraspire feet for wheels! There was no way I was lifting 27kg of Marantz into a tight corner!
The casters are a very serious upgrade. I also fitted them to my Hutter rack. Very easy to pull out for swapping kit and cleaning. Highly recommended.I know what you mean. Alison helped me carry my PM11 onto the bottom shelf but I usually have the amp on a higher shelf.
The castors look wheely good.
How did you casually look? I can't get the hang of it.I have been casually looking for a cartridge to take some of the load off my Urushi Vermillion & came across this vintage cartridge. I knew nothing about it but thought it looked so unusual it piqued my interest so I asked for a home loan from the seller & my wish was granted. Well, what a beauty, it has far exceeded my expectations in every way, so she is now my new "precious".
It is a Clearaudio Delta MC, from around 1987 to 1994, & has had a recent re-build by Goldring.
Easy, I always look around & see what is out there, & if I see something interesting that I don't know much about I research it to build up my knowledge & see if it would be compatible with the rest of my kit, & if it is & if I can afford it. If at that point casual interest turns into something I want to have. Plenty of things don't make it to that point, this did. It's rather simple to understand in my view. How did you casually look?
