He has been as low as 1300 and not sold, so 1200 should get there. you will have to get off your arse and get it though.
If you’re referring to the GT-2000 above then that’s a damn good price, a ridiculous bargain and I’m utterly astounded it’s still available!Also check the worldwide sold prices before looking at that price. Seems very overpriced.

However, if you’re referring to the PF-800 that the OP linked to, then I would agree. I paid just over £700 including import duty.
Watches.I can't think of other electrical/mechanical items that increase in value over the years. You don't see overpriced 1970s Hotpoint washing machines on eBay or Pifco hairdryers.

My initial impression was 'WOW', but reading your link, belt driven, and like you say could probably do better for the money.
