Help please - missing hard drive since I just booted up

The first thing to do is check whether you have a backup or not.

The second is to search IT sites on the net for something like 'disk recovery'.

(Would you post a question on an IT forum such as: 'my loudspeakers have stopped working, what do I do?')

Sounds like it has died. Assuming you have not changed anything before it happened. See if you can see the drive in the Bios, if yes use storage tools under the administrative tools,  to see if the drive is visible from there.

I had the same problem a few weeks back and solved it by going on the manufacturer website and performing a simple health check but I admit could still indentify the drive so maybe yours has stopped working but go on the site and see if it helps.
