led zeppelin and dire staits .. not very good are they ?

over the years i,ve tried to get into these two bands through various cd,s you know the famous ones iv / houses of the holy /111 love over gold brothers in arms .. and while there is absolutely no denying these boys can play / sing their given instruments something just doesn,t connect in me .... why .... all the elements are therefor me to like ... but i just don,t....

every few months i dig them out and give them a spin and always the same results boring boring boring:zzzz: ...when i should be:rockin:

go figure ... i await the onslaught with baited breathe

Led Zep and Dire music er, Straits are two separate entities. Dire MOR er, Straits are what you play to impress your visitors (good demo fodder) and the brilliant and never been bettered (apart from Black Sabbath maybe) Led Zep are what you put on at full tilt to get rid of them and keep for yourself.

Batman, you have no musical taste whatsoever but persevere with Plant, Page and the boys and give up on Dire widdly wanky never ending guitar listen to me I'm the star here, pointless constant drum fills, constant chord changes aren't we clever headband wearers, er, Straits.

Try to borrow the 2-DVD Led Zep live compilation, the one with the orange desert on the cover. They were a live band really who refused to release singles and this live footage shows them in their best light.
