Just 1/40for me.

Lily Allen - excellent album, and perfect for summer.

Will get Amy Winehouse album soon. Best of Dolly Parton is probably good too (IMO). She sings with feeling, but only have one album of hers.

3 out of 40, which surprised me, I would have expected 0. Snow Patrol on vinyl, Simply Red, cos the mr's is a fan, and a snorah.

I've bought 3/40- Arcade Fire, Bloc Party and the Fratelli's (all on vinyl strangely) and have versions and copies of about another 5.

TBH I find most modern chart music unlistenable, most of it is so poorly made I just can't be bothered to listen to it.

Also, and I'm not having a go at anyone here, but to say 'I would have thought you would have the Arcade Fire album, thats great on BIG speakers ' rather lays on the line a major barrier between those who are into HiFi for its own sake, and those who are in to HiFi as a conduit between music and the listner. Why buy something 'cos it sounds good on a particular setup? If you like the music, buy it, and if you don't, don't - just be careful not to blinker yourself.

Sounds pretty good on my little speakers, earphones andcar system for me

Would quite like to hear Arcade Fire - the last album was very good. Kaiser Chiefs maybe - how does it compare to the last album though?

If you sincerely believe that all music after the year xxyy is rubbish and not worth listening to, that is the year you became unadventurous and closed-minded.

OTOH if you believe that only this weeks top 10 are worth a spin, you are probably a bird-brained fashion victim!
