BBC radio finally gone?

This morning, my BBC radio streams from Tunein finally stopped working. I believe that Summer ‘23 was the projected end date but looking out of the window, it looks (and feels) like early Spring to me….

The BBC servers are having problems and they can't seem to stay awake for more than 5 minutes at a time.

BBC Sounds is still alive and well.

The BBC servers are continuing to have problems. If you are lucky enough to start streaming while the server is running it should continue to play. This is impacting both TuneIn and airable Radio who are being directed towards the problematic servers.

We don't believe that this is connected to the changes the BBC have previously announced.

BBC Sounds is still alive and well.

Thanks. I know, and use it to Chromecast when listening in the kitchen - not possible to use Sounds with a Linn DSM.

Radio 4 has been fine via Roon this morning, but that might just be coincidence. Trying Radio 2 now to see...

How he stays on primetime BBC I will never know - everyone I know turns over when he comes on. I was even in a shop the other day and it was playing BBC2 but as soon as he came on they turned over! I congratulated the shop manager!

I can send it to my DSM using Airplay.

I’m resurrecting this thread as the BBC radio channels have recently dropped off airable. Any thoughts anyone?

Edit - just BBC radio 2 and radio 3 that have disappeared. Weird

I still have it all inc. R2 and R3 through Kazoo.

Yup, there was another issue with Airable on Thursday (or Friday... I forget) but it seems to have sorted itself again

Yes, I randomly noticed a couple of nights ago that R3 was half the usual bit-rate on Airable. So searched for it on Tune-in. Looks like there was a glitch somewhere.

Tonight my Qobuz is dropping out on hi-res streams, but the modem-router shows 80mbps or above which is more than enough! Hasn’t missed a beat for months. Did the usual everything off then on again - no different! Will probably be ok tomorrow! Time to put an LP on…

No. No suggestion it will either, at least that I’ve seen. Do any streamers have BBC Sounds built in?

I can stream Sounds to the DS using Airplay from my iPad, but it’s slightly inferior SQ.

I’ve just tried the BBC ones from Airable’s own listing (not my pins) of Popular Stations. All work except Radio 4 and World Service. How odd!
