Really nice work, was gonna do something similar to my Technics but haven't got round to it yet.

Highly recommend this book if you're a fan of Rams' work, especially at the current price http://www.amazon.co.uk/Less-More-Design-Ethos-Dieter/dp/3899552776/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1294261540&sr=8-1

Also worth checking out Makita for routers, I've got one of these http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/details.php?cat=Routers%20Makita&product=71460&utm_campaign=comparison&utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=ncpc

not the most manouverable of routers as it's built like a tank, but a great bit of gear nonetheless

well worth looking at the Triton range of routers especially if you want to mount it in a table or push the boat out and buy a FESTOOL

HiFi Trade?
  1. Yes
fwiw I am in the building trade (over 30 years) and purchased one of these little palm routers last year from what I can gather they are made using Makita old model tooling but are a third of the price without the Makita branding. From what I have read parts are interchangeable between them. I was really pretty impress with it and use it a lot as its often much more handy than the larger Bosch and Dewalt routers I also have..

Its easily up to doing the above sort of work if you take it steady.

Used mine last week to cut the circles out and radius the edges on a open baffle speaker project
