I think I have reached where I can go except for speakers.
A new 300B amp, good tonearm. Everything else represents all I am prepared to spend.

But have had my speakers about 30 years, and I have altered them beyond recognition and they sound (to me) great.
But still think I can buy something better.
Have kept trying and think I need to forget speakers.

Yes the tannoy legacy are pretty good . Just possibly some wilson sabrina x might move them on but not much else .they just sound so right

Would love a arc ref 6 but the current bel canto pre is proving excellent so wouldnt mind going to the top of the bc black tree .quite impressed i must say

What you got?

They are Impulse H6 cabinets, but Scanspeak drivers and bespoke crossovers computer modelled by a speaker designer in Holland. Crossover is fancy caps and ribbon inductors.
They sound like my Impulse of old but less hard top end and better bass and mids.

sort of, many many changes, only the Impulse cabinet remains even that is altered aesthetically.
