I wanted to get my CD player out of the cupboard to give a bit of a dusting

Bloodyhell I forgot how heavy it was . Or I’m getting old

Gonna be a 2 man lift soon..

The 55 lb Sony SCD777ES 

Thats nearly a sack of spuds in days gone by..

What’s your heaviest piece of kit not including speakers

It was my IA MB845SE Monos at 35kg each but now I'm down to a rather lightweight 17kg for my tt  or 18.3kg Inc arm.

My amp.  Nearly 18kg iirc - 38 lb to the old people or Brexiteers.

Delivery man - this is heavy.

My Sony 700 ES Integrated Amplifier. My friend asked me if I needed a hand when I collected it. 

I said it would be fine; no heavier than my Valve Amplifier. 

WRONG! 

FKN HEAVY! 

I don't know what the chassis is made from, but fook me it's heavy!

Actually, I remember being quite surprised by some diminutive Boothroyd Stuart Meriden Amplifiers. 

Bloody heavy too (for their size)

Not got these now, but I borrowed a pair of Doge 9 monoblocks... which were 50kg each, with 40kg distributed towards the rear... 



...my shins are still scarred from lowering them to the floor...

Not mine, but a Master Sound 845 was a two-person lift at a (most enjoyable) bake off at Jules's...

My DAC is 20kg, which is a lot for a DAC.

Both my integrated amps are 20kg too.

M speakers are bloody heavy for standmounts - The NS1000 are 9kg per side more than the NS1000M, so 40kg each, not that we are talking speakers!

Speakers are not included here but the Arts I had were easily the heaviest items I've owned.

Just how can a DAC weigh 20kg?

This hobby is still full of surprises, my old SMSL M8 weighed about 5g. lol
