Klassik prefers live music to recorded music, but it is generally considered impolite to have sex while listening to music at a classical music concert. Thus, at-home listening does offer some advantages.

If nothing else, it's probably considered more polite to listen at home alone while air conducting and possibly dancing around the room doing pelvic thrusts and other socially unacceptable dance moves.

Maybe listening while drunk improves the perceived sound quality. Maybe it has some interesting spatial effects. Well, if nothing else, it'll surely help one cope with how much one has spent on an audiophile USB cable.
