Yes, an absolutely stunning looking car that'll start shedding pistons before you know it. :Upset:
I was in a fair bit of traffic this morning... The culprit? A broken down 2004 Alfa 156...
I'm speaking from experience, having owned a 156 from new and aused 147 with just 23k miles on the clock, when I say that you need to be prepared for a lot of pain and heartache when you own an Alfa.
In five years I had spent about 4k keepingmy 156road-worthy (big-ends went, suspension brushes replaced, selespeed gearbox with a mind of its own). In the space of two months ownership, my two-year old 147's water-pump failed and required2.5k's worth of repairs. I know a bloke who had an Alfa GT for about ayear. In that short spaceof time it had been in and out of Alfa eight times for all sorts of problems.
Personally, I think Alfa UK are a bunch of c*nts. I hate them. I used to be a massive fan. So much of a fan that I've had the (dis)pleasure of owning two. Never again!
It's amazing that Alfa can get away with selling such unreliable cars. Perhaps its because of idiots like me who don't (well didn't) know any better.
Rant over...
