Quad 99 cdp remote- do any other brands work?

Hi all. Bought the bargain cdp on here this week, sans remote. I assumed there must be another brand that would work with it, but no joy so far. This means I can only play, stop and advance on the player- no pause button! It also means that I can’t use the digital inputs. Any ideas? There’s a remote on eBay, but it’s £35.

Hi,

Why not phone Quad and ask them for the code for an All For One remote.

Many remotes follow a standard such as RC5 or RC6, with a specific code set such as TV, pre-amplifier etc., so when you determine this, a cheap remote will be an option.

A TAG McLaren remote cost me £79 about eight years ago. Quad do their repair work so I would expect something in that region.
