Hope this in the right place.
This album has been sitting in the rack for the last 25 years (not played) although recorded some 50 years ago. (1968 for you oldies).
Well, it’s on the TT Today.
Cream - “Wheels of Fire”
I’m totally astonished how good a recording it is. Not one pop, crackle, or blemish.... not to mention how well it’s recorded.
This really is a classic album. Can’t remember it sounding this good on my kit of the day. (Gerrard 301 / Tresham Amps / Tannoy (something’s) can’t remember.
For those who have not heard this album..... it’s a must!!
Tracks like - White Room / Sitting on top of the World / Born under a Bad Sign, etc, etc ....... Classic.
I’ve got vinyl less than a month old which is not recorded as good as this!! And has far more surface noise.
Perhaps old plastic (Vinyl) was better [emoji106]
