Kuzma arm on Hyperspace

Has anyone got experience of fitting a Kuzma 4point9 arm on a Nottingham Hyperspace? I’m currently using a SME 309 and fancy a Kuzma and trying to work out how straightforward it will be to change.

You should be able to fit a 4P 11" on a 9" std arm distance due to the arm offset from the VT tower. The hole Dia I believe is 30mm. Just check the spindle pivot distance on the kuzma site then temporarily set your 309 to that. If you can, then all should be good with minimal rework to the original armboard.

I nearly bought that arm but as I decided to try streaming I used my spare cash in that instead

I've been on the same journey. Spent way too much on an Antipodes streamer and switches etc, but I've got to say it sounds very very good. Now to give the TT a bit of love

It’s a 40mm mounting hole at 212mm spindle to bearing.

Just installed one on my kuzma reference 2 deck and it’s fantastic.

I have the Stogi Ref 313 VTA on my Ref 2. Sounds fantastic but would love to hear the 4Point on there one day.

I intent to try my 4.9 on a Linn LP12 but the weight of it might prove the issue.

I’ve cut the arm board but wanted to get familiar with the arm first on its intended deck. I’ll post my observations when I try it.

I did and it’s very good indeed. More dynamic than my 309 which goes well with the Hyperspace. VTA and Azimuth are super easy to adjust. The floating feel due to the 4 bearings takes a bit of getting used to. Should be a great match with the Stabi

Very nice. Kevin at Definitive recommended the red with the 4.9 and I generally trust his choices
