We were talking about getting a pizza delivery today. I love them but the salt content in high st delivery pizza is massive. it plays havoc with me.

Someone suggested we make our own pizzas. :^

My youngest daughter (age 19) offered to make the pizzas. (four of us) This would be a first, but she's a pretty good cook :) She made the dough and tomato base from scratch. I took a few pics:

Tomato base, mozzarella, baby tomato, sauteed mushroom, ricotta and spinach

tomato base, sliced cooked butchers pork sausage, mozzarella, ham, baby tomato

Tomato base, mature cheddar cheese, sauteed onion/red pepper/red chilli/mushroom, spicy pepperoni, ham.

Tomato base, mozzarella, sauteed chorizo, spicy pepperoni, ham

This is how they looked cooked:

These were really tasty  incredibly thin :^ Crispy around the edge, slightly gooey in the middle....delish!

I'm seriously salivating.

They look bloody superb.

I've already had the pleasure of your family's cooking and these? Monumental Jim.

Christ. I'm trying to lose weight, but that lot has made me seriously hungry.

I totally get that. I am appalled at what shit gets sold and yet it would still rate as one of my favourite food groups. You know...protein, carbs, meat, veg....pizza !

That little lot would get a definite entry on the "I love 'em" list :^

 She didn't quite get the hang of round pizzas
Since when did the shape matter?

They look utterly epic and if I wasn't about 70 miles away at this moment, I'd be banging on your door right now.

Superb mate.

Frankly, just got out of the shower, but those pics make me want to get in the car in my dressing gown and hit the road right now. You're bloody lucky you don't live closer. Posting things like that make you a target you know. I've already been made aware of your food skills and it obviously runs in the family.

I've eaten seriously, but looking at that makes me seriously hungry...

Hi Jim,

What time do you want me round.

That pizza is not going to eat itself.

Those pizzas look superb, Jim. My wife makes pizzas from scratch and they are always delicious.

Always make my own, Thursday night family tradition.

Last lot I used spelt flour which gave a nice chewy texture to the base.

Have the oven as hot as it gets oft a good 5 mins before putting them in.

Try and get hold of sheets with holes in bases (good cook shop will have them)

Alternatively get oven for the garden :-0

It's come out tops every time she's done it G, for the sauce (and please don't wince) I mix up tomato puree 2/3rds and ketchup 1/3. We prefer it to a fresh sauce you could make, I do come from a working class background though. :p

I'll get some photos up as we make them. :^
